Kuhnhenn Imperial Olde Brune 2010
From Kuhnhenn – Flemish style Oud Brune ale with a Kuhnhenn twist. Robust 11.5% ABV made with a 100% Munich malt intensified by boiling over night then aged for 6 months on a blend of exotic yeasts and micro flora. Michigan Montmorency Cherries infusion top off this decadent treat.
Kuhnhenn Brewing – Kuhnhenn Imperial Olde Brune 2010 – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 11.5% abv. Thanks to Bobby “The Fire” Sullivan
Appearance: Pours a dark murky brown with no head, no stripe, no swirls.
Aroma: Sweet cherry, milk chocolate, caramel, balsamic.
Taste: Sweet black cherry, cola, tannins, cough syrup. Finishes slightly tart.
Mouthfeel: Thick with very low carbonation.
Overall: My first Kuhnhenn experience. Very tasty, and very unique. I’m sure this would age fine for a long time.
