Iron Hill Winter Wheat Wine-Oh!

From Iron Hill – Winter Wheat Wine-Oh! is a winter wheat wine ale, a hybridization of barleywine and American wheat ale with strong, rich, malty flavors balanced by subtle sweetness.  The bottle’s retro-cool label design comes from gifted local artist and frequent Iron Hill collaborator Jeff Schaller of PinkCow Studio.

Iron Hill Brewery – Iron HIll Winter Wheat Wine-Oh! – 750 ml bottle poured into a goblet. 9% abv.

Appearance: Pours a dark ruby with a subsided head and no lacing.

Aroma: Booze, spice off the bat. Banana creme brulee.

Taste: Booze, bananas foster, white pepper, clove, big bitter Euro hops and ripe cantaloupe.

Mouthfeel: Sticky with modest carbonation.

Overall: Big tasty and very warm. Would probably do well with 6 months to a year.
