Hair of the Dog Fred from the Wood

From Hair of The Dog – Fred From the Wood is aged in new, medium toast American oak barrels for at least 6 months. This Beer is available from the brewery and at select retailers.

Hair of the Dog – Hair of the Dog Fred from the Wood Vintage 2008 – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 10% abv. From Online Trade.

Appearance: Pours a dark golden amber with a tight, white 1/4 cap of foam.

Aroma: Toffee, coconut and booze.

Taste: Wood, caramelized grapes, red apple, spicy hops and bourbon.

Mouthfeel: Very fizzy and full bodied. A tad creamy even.

Overall: I like regular Fred better. This didn’t go down easy for me. I know it’s designed to be a complex sipper, but it was a bit much for me.
