Green Flash Citra Session
From Dan – Green Flash brewing has held a special place in my heart for years, mainly do to their amazing hop profile in many of their beers. Stopping through the Highway 78 region, I stopped by and was pleasantly surprised to find Citra Session available for growler fill. I was sold after the first taster, and asked when I can find this beer again. Sadly, due to the supply and demand of the Citra hop, we probably won’t see much of this beer until next year, when Green Flash can get their hands on more Citra. I’m telling you, look out for it. Green Flash Brewing – Green Flash Citra Session – From growler to pint glass. 4.3% abv.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy amber gold with a pillowy white head. Leaves behind lots of lacing.
Aroma: Grapefruit, tangerine, orange and plenty of it from a mile away.
Taste: Grapefruit, English toffee like malt, finishes fruity with lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel: A little astringent, medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Magnificent, highly drinkable, super tasty and inviting. Great job.
