It has won a many awards around the world and given us recognition for being a World-Class Brewer.Vintage Ale is a truly distinguished bottle-conditioned ale, crafted by Fuller’s Head Brewer, John Keeling. Each vintage is a blend of that year’s finest malt and hops, and of course our unique yeast, creating a unique limited edition brew.
Fullers Brewing – Fullers Vintage Ale 2008 – 500 ml bottle poured into a goblet. 8.5% abv. Purchased at Certified Market Monrovia, CA. Picture is 2007 Vintage, 2008 Bottle and Box look identical sans the year.
Appearance: Pours a clear amber that starts with a sudsy head, that quickly subsides.
Aroma: Apples, spice, caramel, and pear.
Taste: Caramel apple, light amounts of chocolate, and spicy hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied.
Overall: A very nice ale, that I wish I had more of. Very balanced and flavorful.
