Evil Twin Christmas Eve at a New York City Hotel Room

From Dan – I couldn’t find any description on this beer. I tried it on tap at The Bruery Provisions last year and saved this post for the holiday season. Cheers.

Evil Twin Brewing – Evil Twin Christmas Eve at a New York City Hotel Room – On tap at The Bruery Provisions. 10% abv.

Appearance:  Pours black with a thin tan cap of froth.

Aroma: Burnt chocolate roast.

Taste:  Dark chocolate, burnt roast, ashes. Very earthy too.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied and  rough.

Overall:  I thought the super dark roast profile worked well for this beer, a well roasted coffee effect without using coffee. Also of note, the alcohol was well integrated, it didn’t drink like a overly strong ale.
