Eagle Rock Populist IPA

From Eagle Rock Brewery – Honoring the tradition of the West-Coast IPA, this beer has the bright aroma of orange blossoms and hints of pine needles. A brisk but smooth bitterness is balanced by a sturdy malt frame, enabling the delicate fruity character of the hops to shine through.

Eagle Rock Brewer – Eagle Rock Populist IPA – On tap at Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank, CA 7% abv.

Appearance: Pours a semi cloudy amber gold with a thin 1/4 inch film of white. Leaves spotty lacing.

Aroma: Big citrusy orange, a little cat pee.

Taste: Tangerine hop, earthy hop, and sturdy, fairly dry malt holding it together. Finished clean and bitter.

Mouthfeel: The earthy hops gave it some gritty texture,not sure if I am imagining this.  Also a bit juicy. Moderately carbonated.

Overall: Very enjoyable, hoppy in all the right places.
