Dogfish Head Bitches Brew
From Dogfish Head – In honor of the 40th anniversary of the original release of Bitches Brew, Miles Davis’ 1970 paradigm-shifting landmark fusion breakthrough, we’ve created our own Bitches Brew – a bold, dark beer that’s a fusion of three threads imperial stout and one thread honey beer with gesho root, a gustatory analog to Miles’ masterpiece.
Dogfish Head – Dogfish Head Bitches Brew – 750 ml bottle poured into a goblet. 9% abv. Purchased at Certified Market Monrovia, CA
Appearance: Pours a dark brown with a tan ring of suds.
Aroma: Roast, hospital disinfectant and maple sugar.
Taste: Dark chocolate, burnt roast that finishes the beer bittersweet.
Mouthfeel: Silky with modest carbonation.
Overall: A very dry Imperial Stout. It wasn’t my favorite, and I tried it on two separate occasions. I’m not complaining that it’s not a goopy mess, it just wasn’t my bag.

Trash beer that needs to rely on gimmicky names and labels to sell beer! Here’s a thought, make good beer with a shred of self respect and you won’t need gimmics and stupid names to sell it!
