Dieu du Ciel Solstice d’Hiver
From Dieu du Ciel – Solstice d’hiver is brewed only once a year, at the end of the summer. It is then aged for a few months in order to attain a perfect balance in taste. Then, it is sold starting mid-December of each year, until stocks last.
Dieu du Ciel – Dieu du Ciel Solstice d’Hiver – 341 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 9.8% abv. Purchased at Bevmo Pasadena, CA
Appearance: Pours an iced tea brown with a thin tight cap of off white foam. Leaves spotty lacing behind.
Aroma: Sweet, spicy brown sugar notes, booze and apricot.
Taste: Burnt sugar, alcohol, spicy bitter hops and dark chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Very coating, medium bodied and perfectly carbonated.
Overall: A very warm tasty barley wine.
