Dark Horse Smells Like a Safety Meeting IPA

From Dark Horse Brewing – An extremely hoppy ale, that really does smell like weed.

Dark Horse Brewing – Dark Horse Smells Like a Safety Meeting IPA 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. bottle date 5/16/14

Appearance: Pours deep amber with a white film atop.

Aroma: Crystal malt, chocolate malt and a touch of pine and some pineapple.

Taste:  Sweet and toasty malt tootsie roll, cascade like hops.

Mouthfeel:  Full bodied. A little rough.

Overall: I am not sure if there was only one run or not of this beer, but the neck had a date of 5/16/14, and research indicates that to be the bottled on date. Correct me if I’m wrong.  This beer doesn’t resemble a “Safety Meeting” or an IPA. Unless I got an old bottle, I’m going to say this beer missed the mark.
