Clipper City MärzHon

Clipper City: A classic marzen style lager, amber in color with a rich, toasty malt flavor and finish. Well balanced and smooth. Marzen is the style of beer traditionally associated with Oktoberfest. The name is a play on words since in Baltimore, everyone is “hon!”  Once a year this beer gets a special “Oktoberfest” label.

Clipper City MärzHon Marzen Lager – 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. 5.8% abv.

Appearance: A clear light orange body with no head. Moderate visable carbonation.

Aroma: Scents of caramel.

Taste: German hops, then some sweetness that fades to a dry finish.  Biscuity malt.

Mouthfeel: Lower carbonation than other US Oktoberfests, which made for a smooth drink.

Overall: I would put this in with my favorite marzens.  I would love it if it was nationally available.
