Cigar City White Oak Jai Alai

From Cigar City – India Pale Ale aged on American White Oak.

Cigar City Brewing – Cigar City White Oak Jai Alai – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 7.5% abv. From online trade.

Appearance: Pours an amber orange with a big, fluffy beige head with decent retention.

Aroma: Spicy malt, fresh oak, white grapes, vanilla and faint yet noticeable hops.

Taste: Grapefruit, caramel, vanilla,oak, spicy malt. Finishes toasty and bitter.

Mouthfeel: Juicy, sticky with modest carbonation.

Overall: Possibly one of the best “oaked” IPAs I’ve had to date.
