Cigar City Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale- Vanilla Aged
From TFP – Once in a while , a Cigar City growler will make its way to a Southern California tasting. I never have expectations for some of these extreme beers CCB makes, I go in with an open mind.
Cigar City Brewing – Cigar City Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale – Vanilla Aged – From Growler to goblet. 5.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours a dark red with a little froth.
Aroma: Light vanilla and booze.
Taste: Vanilla beer flavored water.
Mouthfeel: Watery.
Overall: Really not impressed. The Espresso Maduro is off the charts good, so if given the choice, go with that.

So where in Orange were they? I’ve been wanting to try some of their over-hyped beers, but haven’t seen them anywhere and I’m not going to Florida or GABF to try them.
