Cigar City Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout (2013 Vintage)

From Cigar City –  In Mayan myth, Hunahpu gave cocoa to the Mayans. An Imperial Stout Aged On Cacao Nibs, Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Ancho Chilis, Pasilla Chilis and Cinnamon.

Cigar City Brewing – Cigar City Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout Vintage 2013 – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 11% abv.

Appearance:  Pours black with a bright orange tan ring around the edges.

Aroma:  Chocolate, light chipotle, green pepper. Vanilla. Coconut, celery.

Taste: Vanilla, milk chocolate, green pepper, cinnamon light smoky pepper coffee roast pops on the.

Mouthfeel:  Thick, full bodied, modest carbonation.

Overall:  Still as remarkable as ever. I found this smoother than last years fresh vintage.
