Avery Karma Ale
From Avery – We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, “you get what you give.” Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, we’ve created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Here’s to being good!
Avery Brewing – Avery Karma Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 5.2% abv.
Appearance: Pours a clear dark copper with no head.
Aroma: Classic belgian bubble gum/banana for days.
Taste: Toasty malt, a touch of cocoa, fruity esters. Light banana finish. Low bitterness.
Mouthfeel: On the thin side of medium bodied, average carbonation.
Overall: This is one of those Avery beers I kept passing up, with no real reason. While I probably won’t revisit this, its a solid offering, and might be a great candidate for a new craft convert looking for something not too bitter or dry.
