Alpine Bad Boy IPA
From Alpine – This beer, created by Shawn, uses hops that weren’t around when Pure Hoppiness was invented. That’s one of the reasons it has such a huge hop presence. We also use predominately Premium British ‘Maris Otter’ barley which enriches the flavor and deepens the body. Be careful at 9.25% abv.
Alpine Beer Company – Alpine Bad Boy IPA – On tap poured into a goblet. 9.2% abv.
Appearance: Pours an amber gold with a tight white cap for head. Leaves webby lacing behind.
Aroma: Tangerine, piny dank. Amazing like most Alpine noses, but not quite as large as Duet, Nelson, or Expo.
Taste: Orange rind,, grapefruit, pine finishing with sweet malt.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, coating, with prickly carbonation.
Overall: A first class double IPA, that is definitely unique compared to Pure and Exponential Hoppiness.
