Wynwood Brewing Co. Announces Expansion For 2014
Miami, FL – The Wynwood Brewing Co., first production microbrewery in the City of Miami, recently announced its plans for expansion in early 2014. The expansion will single-handed triple the brewery’s production capabilities to satisfy the distribution of its brews. After the expansion the brewery will be producing close to 7000 gallons of beer at a time. The expansion will be finished by April 2014. The brewery will expand at its present location – 565 NW 24th Street, Miami, FL.
WBCo began production in the Wynwood Arts District in Miami in mid August and has been distributing its craft beer, through Brown Distributing, since late September. The company’s beer has gone from being offered at 12 establishments to more than 100 in a matter of three months. The expansion will not only satisfy the need for more production of La Rubia, a blonde ale, Pop’s Porter, and the Wynwood IPA, but will also give the brewery the capabilities to create two more year-round brews for distribution as well as more seasonals throughout the year.
“We are very excited and honored that our craft beers have been so eagerly accepted by local South Florida beer lovers as well as the rest of Florida” commented founder Luis G. Brignoni. “We will be tripling our production to meet the demand for our ‘Handcrafted in Miami’ beers and look forward to a very successful year.”
Right now WBco. consists of a 15-Barrel two-vessel brewhouse system. One barrel is equal to 31 US gallons. At any given time it can produce about 500 gallons of beers in 15 barrel fermenters and close to 1000 gallons in 30 barrel fermenters.
The new expansion will consist of a number of Fermenting Vessels, Conditioning tanks and Filtration system.
