Worthy Brewing Releases Seasonal Peace Pipe Porter
(Bend, OR) – Worthy Brewing Company is expanding its seasonal line with Peace Pipe Porter, available now in six-pack bottles. This rich brew is loaded with cacao nibs, giving it a rich chocolate flavor, with an aroma of milk chocolate. It finishes with a dry, yet slightly sweet taste, reminiscent of chocolate cookies and dark chocolate. “While it’s no surprise that this beer would pair really well with desserts, it’s also balanced enough to enjoy with dinner,” says Brewmaster Dustin Kellner.
Peace Pipe Porter comes in at 5.4% ABV with 25 IBUs. The February to May release of six-pack bottles and kegs will be distributed by Columbia Distribution in Oregon and Washington, and by Hayden Beverage in Idaho. Five percent of the sales proceeds of this beer will be donated to to the Warm Springs Tribal Educational Fund.
Worthy Brewing Company’s flagship beers include 12-ounce cans of Worthy IPA, Prefunk Pale Ale, Easy Day Kolsch, and Lights Out Stout. The bottling line also cranks out 22-ounce bottles of Worthy IPA, Worthy Imperial IPA and Eruption Imperial Red Ale, along with limited releases of specialty and seasonal beers, such as Peace Pipe Porter.
Worthy Brewing Company opened its doors in early 2013, delivering remarkably balanced, filtered ales that are hand-crafted using premium ingredients and the pristine water from the Cascade Mountains in Bend, Oregon. Worthy’s campus includes a large outdoor biergarten, full restaurant, and a greenhouse and hop yard onsite for growing estate and experimental hops in conjunction with Oregon State University and Indie Hops. An expansion with expanded restaurant seating, a banquet space, and an observatory is planned for Spring 2016.
