Upland Brewing Introduces New Company President Eddie DeSalle
(BLOOMINGTON, IN) – Upland Brewing Company, a craft brewer with three brewery and six brewpub locations throughout Indiana, announces Eddie DeSalle as the new company president. DeSalle, who was previously a strategic consultant for the company, brings decades of meaningful experience in technology and software to Upland Brewing Company. Notably, he founded, led and grew Net Irrigate, an agriculture technology company, that went on to be acquired by one of the world’s biggest innovators in the irrigation and infrastructure solutions fields.
“I’m looking forward to incorporating my technology and innovation knowledge into Upland Brewing Company to further strengthen this prominent Indiana brand,” said DeSalle. “In today’s ultra-competitive market, increased digitalization is imperative. Data science, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) are not always top-of-mind in the beer industry, but they should be. We will use these tools and other disruptive technology as catalysts for growth with cost optimized production, precision logistics, innovative sourcing, strategic marketing and more. I’m excited to help strengthen the company and move the industry forward in new ways.”
Under DeSalle’s leadership, Upland Brewing Company aims to expand how they drive value by focusing more on innovative solutions to enhance their products and onsite experiences. This includes filling an expected half dozen roles throughout the rest of 2022 with tech-savvy, passionate people interested in the beer business.
“At Upland, we have always said creating a remarkable beer drinking experience is our top priority,” said Adam Estes, Upland Brewing Company part owner. “Eddie has a real respect for this company’s roots, and will reaffirm our longstanding traditions while strategically utilizing tools that will push us forward and enhance our overall customer experience.”
Since 1998, Upland Brewing Company has worked to produce well-made, progressive beers. The company currently operates nine brewery and brewpub locations—all in Indiana—and brews Indiana’s best-selling India pale ale (IPA), Dragonfly.
