Surly Brewing – Get Artsy In Coaster Design Contest

Get Artsy! We’re not exactly what you’d call fine art critics here at the brewery, but we know good art when we see it – and we want to see your art entered into this year’s Surly Brewing Coaster Contest.We’re again supporting Art-A-Whirl in Northeast Minneapolis this year, and to celebrate, we’re asking Surly Nation to design the 2012 Surly coaster – more than 100,000 will be distributed in bars and restaurants that serve our beer. It’s gotta be good and it’s gotta be Surly – to give you an idea of what we think is good art, here is 2011’s winning entry, designed by our now artist-in-residence Michael Berglund from MNFX. It’s smart, it’s Surly and it looks great with a beer on top of it.

Click HERE to submit your Surly Coaster design. The contest closes on Thursday, May 17. We’re gonna choose our top ten, which will then be displayed at The Sample Room on Saturday, May 19. Vote for your favorite, and we’ll choose the winner on the evening of Monday, May 21 at a special Coaster Contest tapping at Grumpy’s Nordeast.
