Surf Brewery Releases Oil Piers Espresso Porter
(Ventura, CA) – Named after a now extinct surf break between Santa Barbara and Ventura, Oil Piers, our Robust Porter offering, has delicate hopping with a rich malt profile with undertones of dark toast and chocolate. Surf Brewery® is releasing their current seasonal offering of this local favorite, infused with local Ventura roaster, Beacon Coffee’s cold-brewed espresso XX. A fantastic mix of flavors and a popular breakfast beer!

“I remember going to Oil Piers beach as a kid in high school growing up in Ventura and then coming back and visiting my parents in 1998 when the piers were removed. The surf break was completely gone. We named this beer in remembrance to the spot and of course the dark beer relating to the color of oil. We brew several versions throughout the year and this one incorporates some cold brewed espresso from our friends at Beacon Coffee. A very enjoyable beer!’ remarks Head Dude Bill.
