Stewart Brewing Creates First Craft Beer Kitchen in UK
Edinburgh, 15th May 2014: Craft Beer Kitchen is the very first of its kind, not only in Edinburgh and Scotland, but further still, in the U.K. Whilst Edinburgh is among the front runners of the craft beer phenomenon in the U.K, we still find ourselves a good way behind Australia and America, in terms of creation. These respective countries have introduced their own brand of Craft Beer Kitchens, which have, quite literally, made headlines.
What is Craft Beer Kitchen? It is a facility whereby anyone and everyone can brew their very own beer. Our Master Brewer will guide the customer through the brewing process from start to finish, or rather from choosing a recipe on their brewday to designing their bespoke labels and bottling their brand new creation. Whether a complete beer novice or a self-proclaimed beer geek, we can promise that the Craft Beer Kitchen will be a completely unique and unforgettable experience.
Having officially opened its doors to the public in April, the Craft Beer Kitchen is already gathering momentum and proving to be one of the things to do in Scotland. Certainly for those looking for something out of the ordinary. The public seek an experience and even more so when they are able to take something material away with them; in this case, their very own hand-crafted beer.
Being situated in the main 50 Hecto-Litre Stewart Brewing premises, customers are very much in the heart of the working brewery. The ‘heart’ being the industrial disquietude and the invariable rock music! Outwith public use, the Craft Beer Kitchen is made use of by Stewart Brewing to trial new and innovative recipes and to fine tune any existing brews.

Stewart Brewing is now ready to welcome the public through their doors and have ensured that they will be able to cater for the customer’s every need. The Brewery Tap with 18 lines hosts an array of beers, from traditional Scottish ales to more off-the-wall creations. The taps are not exclusive to Stewart Brewing beers either, they host brews from all over Scotland; in fact, a keg of Thistly Cross Cider is in transit! The discernable drinker can sample the wares in-house, or take it away with them in a refillable one or 2 litre growler.
A rather fraught few months of making sure the brewery is ready to accommodate people, but now we are ready for a mass of feet through the doors!
