Starr Hill Brewery Releases Reviver Red IPA This Weekend
(CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA) — Starr Hill Brewery is ready for shorter sleeves and longer days with the arrival of their new spring seasonal beer, Reviver Red IPA.
“It’s always exciting working with new hop varieties, specifically Mosaic for this recipe,” said Robbie O’Cain, Starr Hill’s Brewmaster. “The wonderful thing about IPAs is the ability to develop new and interesting hop blends. The possibilities are endless, which is why you see so much growth in a category where you can continuously tweak and experiment.”
Reviver Red IPA’s color perfectly matches both its name and a season in bloom. Its complex aroma melds citrus, piney, floral, tropical, herbal, citrus, and earthy notes, courtesy of generous dry hopping from the brewery’s hop cannon. At 6.2% alcohol by volume, Reviver’s bright and fruity hop character is balanced by a steady dose of malt to balance its flavor and making it an ideal pairing for the transitional months of spring.
“Reviver is one of the most beautiful beers we’ve ever made,” said Brian McNelis, Starr Hill’s President and CEO. “The success of this intricate brewing process is a testament to the incredible dedication and performance from our brew team here at Starr Hill.”
Reviver Red IPA will be celebrated in the Starr Hill Tap Room with a release party this Sunday, February 8th. For more details on the event, visit Starr Hill Brewery on Facebook.
Reviver Red IPA will be available at retail February through April in six-packs (12-ounce bottles) and kegs (1/6 and 1/2 barrels). The award-winning Soul Shine Belgian-Style Pale Ale will then return in May for the warmer months as Starr Hill’s summer seasonal beer offering.
