Sales Position Available: Southern California, Texas and Arizona Regional Manager
Location: Ideally Los Angeles, but open to Dallas or Houston-based
Come join a talented and committed team hand crafting exceptional local beers with a unique national presence.Shmaltz Brewing, America’s largest, smallest, fastest growing, most award-winning, and still the only Jewish-themed Brewing Company, is looking for a full-time Sales Rep to join our tribe to cover our southwestern sales territory. We’re looking for someone who loves to sell, has a passion for craft beer and has vision to make Shmaltz Brewing a career. At Shmaltz, you will have the benefit of working in a small company with a brand new 50 barrel brewery in Upstate, NY and 17 years of experience brewing award winning craft beer. Shmaltz Sales staff are expected to wear a variety of hats, allowing them to gain experience in many areas of the industry. Since Shmaltz is a small company, your contribution and hard work will make a direct impact on the growth and success of the whole enterprise. This position will afford you the independence of an entrepreneur, giving you the personal and professional experience of building a business in your sales territory. You will also be expected to be a team player and help the management team achieve company sales goals.
Our chosen candidate will be responsible for promoting SBC products, while developing, maintaining strong retail, wholesaler, and customer relationships across our Southwest Region including: all of Southern California from San Diego to San Luis Obispo, Texas and Arizona. Frequent travel is a crucial and mandatory part of the job – only those willing and able to travel out of home market 1-2 weeks per month should apply.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• 100% focus on selling products and increasing distribution in on- and off-premise retail accounts
• Set and track quarterly and annual growth goals with wholesalers
• Gather and process monthly orders from each wholesaler, and manage and track inventory on an ongoing basis
• Organize, promote, and implement promotions, tastings, demos, and staff education in all types of accounts
• Maximize use of point of sale materials
• Coordinate event promotion with Shmaltz’s Marketing Director
• Actively monitor and participate in various social networking platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
• Follow up and report appropriately with SBC’s National Sales Manager
Qualifications:
• Minimum two years of craft beer sales experience (supplier or distributor experience preferred)
• Willingness to work flexible and extended hours as needed (including evenings and weekends)
• Ability to prioritize and stay incredibly organized and self motivated with a very hectic schedule
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and social networking
• Familiarity with Jewish holidays and culture, a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must love craft beer
