Sante Adairius Rustic Ales Announces Tim Clifford Departure
(Capitola, CA) – A little over twelve hours after the big news regarding Cellarmaker Brewing and The Rare Barrel merging, Sante Adairius Rustic Ales of Capitola, Santa Cruz and Oakland drop big news about their ownership structure. Adair Paterno along with Tim Clifford were the figure heads behind the world class farmhouse style brewery that redefined saison and other elegant yet rustic styles in California. This morning, we learn that Tim Clifford is leaving the company. Please see the note below from their Facebook:
We are excited to officially announce that our own Adair Paterno is now the sole owner of Sante Adairius Rustic Ales. Adair’s leadership here at SARA over the past decade, as well as her leadership at the state level through her involvement with the California Craft Brewers Association, is unmatched, and we’re excited for her vision and stewardship as we enter our next decade as a brewery. We want to thank Tim Clifford for his 10 years here with us at SARA. What started as a homebrewer’s dream has grown into a renowned and respected brewery around the globe, and we have Tim’s creativity and other numerous contributions to thank for that. We will always be grateful to Tim for his innovative and creative input into SARA, and we wish him the utmost success in whatever he pursues moving forward. Since our founding in 2012, the guiding principles here at SARA have always been quality and authenticity. We simply aim to make the best beer that we can, and present it in the most genuine way that we can- this north star will never change. We are exceedingly confident in the foundation we have built over the last 10 years, and we are thrilled with the team that we currently have in place. We’ll continue to be small, but daring, and reverential of the past, while always focused on the path ahead. We thank you for taking this journey with us. SARA loves you!
