Russian River 2016 Framboise for a Cure Release Details
(Santa Rosa, CA) – Since 2010, Russian River Brewing Company has released a very special beer every October to support the Sutter Breast Care Center of Santa Rosa. That beer is none other than Framboise for a Cure, a spontaneously fermented, oak barrel aged treated with a ton of raspberries. This magical pink sour ale has been brewed and bottled, and only sold at Russian River Brewing each year, along with a small handful of kegs going to local accounts and Toronado.
We just got word from Russian River’s official social media outlets that things will be a bit different here, this news will be extra interesting if you are like myself, collecting a vertical for a future tasting.
“October is coming and we are gearing up for our annual breast cancer fundraiser for the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation right here in Santa Rosa! “Framboise For A Cure 2016” will be released a few days BEFORE October 1st due to our participation that day in Cantillon’s annual Zwanze Day celebration! Due to our very busy schedules right now, we were unable to get this year’s batch of Framboise bottled in time for October. But that also means we will have it on draft at the pub longer! And, since 100% of the proceeds of Framboise is for charity, we will sell a limited number of growlers to those who want to share with friends and loved ones who also support this very important cause. More details on “Framboise For A Cure 2016″ and Zwanze Day coming soon!”
