GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL
September 24-26, 2009
It is almost time for the Brewers Association’s Great American Beer Festival (GABF), and the Rubicon has sent in our finest for the tasting and judging festivities. This year along with our previous GABF award winners, the India Pale Ale & the Winter Wheat Wine, we have also submitted our Goldfinger English Bitter, Maggie Brown Ale, and Itchy Kilt Scottish Ale. For more information on the judging or tickets for this festival (which is planning on having more than 2000 beers on tap!), visit the website: GreatAmericanBeerFestival.com. Please join us in wishing Scott and Al the best of luck!
4th ANNUAL MIDTOWN COMMUNITY FESTIVAL
The FAMILY EVENT OF THE YEAR takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 1pm to 6pm. For the fourth year in a row, we are closing down the street in front of the RUBICON (Capitol Ave between 20th and 21st Streets) and filling it with great LIVE PERFORMANCES, BBQ, a BEER/WINE GARDEN, BAKE SALE, GAMES & ACTIVITIES for the kids (including a Walk-a-Thon), as well as vendors and informational BOOTHS! This all adds up a FUN-FILLED DAY for the whole family!
Festival entrance is free to all, and tickets for the Beer Garden are available in advance at the Rubicon for $20. They will be available on the day of the festival for $25.
And as always… ALL of the profits from the day go to benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento! The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Sacramento has helped thousands of children in our community for over 10 years. Their mission is very important and they depend on the support of their community to implement their Youth Development Strategy, which is to create “club programs and services [that] promote and enhance the development of our members by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and a power of influence.”
If you are interested in booth space, making a monetary donation, sponsoring a child for the Walk-A-Thon, or would just like more information, please contact The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento.
The RUBICON BREWING COMPANY is a proud sponsor of this event, and would like to extend a cordial invitation to all of our friends and neighbors. Please make this a true community event, and invite your friends and neighbors, too.
