River North To Release J. Marie Barreled & Bretted January 4th
Denver, CO – River North Brewery is ringing in 2014 in style. On Saturday, January 4th at 1pm, the brewery will release J. Marie Barreled & Bretted, their first bottle-conditioned beer to date.
For this limited, one-time release, River North’s brewers took J. Marie, their classic farmhouse ale, and aged it for a full year in red wine barrels with Brettanomyces. Rustic yet elegant, the result is a beautiful marriage of farmhouse esters, red wine finesse and Brett funk.
“This beer is not meant to be overly funky or intense,” Head Brewer and Founder Matt Hess said. “It’s an exercise in subtlety and balance.”
One of the rarest River North releases, only 30 cases were bottled. The brewery will sell 750ml bottles at the release party, with select stores receiving limited allotments shortly thereafter. Draft pours will also be available at the taproom on January 4th.
