Pisgah Brewing Double IPA Release This Wednesday
(Black Mountain,NC) – It is hard to imagine that in 10 years of brewing some of the most notable craft beers of the WNC region, Pisgah Brewing Company will be releasing a first-time recipe in the form of a Double IPA on Wednesday, November 11th – but alas, the milestone is founded in truth. This hop-forward ale celebrates the philosophy of the Pisgah brewers, and will be packaged just hours before being released to the public to ensure maximum freshness.
Using nothing but whole-cone Citra and Simcoe hops, which is accompanied by a medium bodied grain-bill, the Pisgah DIPA boasts an 8.1% ABV and comes in at around 120+ IBUs. Once poured, the nose is immediately greeted with tropical notes of pineapple and grapefruit. A pleasant bitterness ensues moments later as this ale approaches the end of the palate, while the ale visually pleases with a medium-light color and appropriate head.
Pisgah Brewing plans to release the Pisgah Double IPA in 22oz bottles as well as on tap in their taproom in Black Mountain, NC on Wednesday, November 11th. Starting at 4pm, draft sales as well as bottle sales will be available to the public and currently no bottle limit has been set. Roughly 100 cases will make it to market between the taproom at Pisgah Brewing and participating accounts in Western North Carolina, while draft sales will primarily be at the brewery and select accounts only.
