Oskar Blues Has Good News
A note from Marty Jones, Lead Singer/Idea Man for Oskar Blues Brewing!
We have tallied up our production numbers for 2008.
We produced 19,500 barrels of delicious canned and kegged beer last year. That’s a 64% increase over the 12,409 barrels we did in 2007.
Very happy news for us. Especially in times like these, when things are tough for so many. But it’s good news all the same, and there’s not enough of that going around these days.
More good news: This Friday, the 13th, at 11 AM, we’re opening the door to our new tasting room inside of our brewing & canning facility at 1800 Pike Road, in Longmont, CO.
The Tasty Weasel seats 50 beer nuts and will serve made-on-the-spot drafts of our beers, from year-round treats and special drafts to barrel-aged treasures.
It’s an open air joint with scenic views of our fermentation tanks and the brewery. We have a few shulbok tables in the place, too, good fun. ( http://shulbok.com )
The door to the Weasel is on the east side of the building.
For the grand opening we’ll be serving a beer or two aged in Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey barrels, and we’ll tap a firkin of something delicious at 4 PM. (We aim to crack a firkin every Friday at 4)
The tasting room hours are 3-8 PM Monday-Friday, and 11 AM – 8 PM Saturday and Sunday.
The Tasty Weasel is a casual spot where folks can enjoy our liquid art at its source, along with some fine beer-blessed fellowship. And brewery tours.
