Oakshire Brewing To Release The Perfect Storm Double IPA On May 1st
Eugene, OR – Oakshire Brewing will release their double IPA, The Perfect Storm, on May 1 st . The Perfect Storm is a double IPA packed full of Pacific Northwest hops, with a juicy malt body, and an intense hop bitterness that lingers after each sip. It will be available on draft and in 22 ounce bottles at the Oakshire Public House and distributed throughout Oregon, Washington, Alaska and North Idaho beginning early May. ABV: 9.3% IBU: 100+
“We’re always excited in the brewhouse to make The Perfect Storm and see if we can get more hop impact into the beer than the year before,” explains Brewmaster Matt Van Wyk. “My brewers take it as a true challenge.” This year’s The Perfect Storm is boldly hopped with copious amounts of six different Pacific Northwest hops, creating an assertive beer to be paired with savory and assertive foods. This wildly aromatic double IPA is very hop forward and, with the higher alcohol content, should be served in smaller glassware to savor the aroma and flavors.
The Perfect Storm is released every year in May during the Eugene Beer Week and the Northwest Legends Sasquatch Brew Fest. It’s a beer designed to showcase how local hops and ingredients come together in The Perfect Storm of ales. Starting May 1 st , The Perfect Storm will be available for purchase at the Oakshire Public House at 207 Madison Street from 11a-10p Monday-Sunday. The 22oz bottles will be sold at $7 each and supplies are limited.
