New Glarus Spotted Cow Now In Cans!
(New Glarus, WI) – New Glarus Brewing Company is proud to announce that Spotted Cow, the New Glarus Brewing Company’s top selling beer is now available in cans. The decision to begin offering Spotted Cow in cans was based on requests from customers as well as the environmentally friendly nature of cans. This lightweight, portable, fast chilling packaging is ideal for customers to enjoy Spotted Cow at places like golf courses, parks and beaches that do not allow bottles. Imagine kicking back and enjoying a cold Spotted Cow with its bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside while picnicking with family and friends. The brewery’s most popular brew, Spotted Cow, will be available in cans later this summer.
In keeping with the company’s motto, “Only in Wisconsin” when a customer reaches for a 12 pack of Spotted Cow, everything they touch is made in Wisconsin. The cardboard used in the 12 pack is made in Neenah, WI by Menasha Packaging; the cans are made in Fort Atkinson, WI by Ball Corp. Metal Beverage Packaging North America. Even the can filler was built in Wisconsin by KHS USA of Waukesha.
The new brightly colored labels on the cans and cartons were designed by Founder/President Deb Carey. She commented that she designed the new labels to look handmade and they “read like us”.
Aluminum cans are extremely environmentally friendly. Cans are 100% recyclable and 75% of all aluminum ever produced is still in use today. They are also great for beer, since the cans themselves keep out all light and air. An added plus is that the cost of the can, from manufacturing to shipping, is less expensive, allowing the brewery to offer cans of beer at a lower price.
Employee Owned since 2015, New Glarus Brewing Company was created in 1993 by Daniel and Deborah Carey, who combined their considerable talents of brewing great beer and business management skills to build a state of the art award winning brewery that still honors the history and traditions of the Village of New Glarus. Dan and Deb Carey have worked hard to maintain their philosophy based on individuality, cooperation and the employment of 100% natural ingredients to produce world-class handcrafted beers for our friends “Only in Wisconsin”.

My son in law is a Wisconsin transplant and actually put Spotted Cow on his Christ list! I travel to Wisconsin occasionally and the first thing I do when I get there is drink a Spotted Cow. I so wish we could have it shipped in to Texas!! Great product!
