Corner Brewery – Bliss Release Party – Mar 9, 2009 6:00 PM
Come celebrate the release of our Bavarian Bliss. It’s our summer seasonal so consider this your light at the end of the tunnel! 6-8 pm. Hawaiian shirts and beachwear are appropriate attire for this event. There will be finger food and plenty of Bliss to go around. It is free for mug club members, $15 for non-members.

ABC Brew Pub – Release Party – Stouts – Mar 10, 2009 6:00 PM
Join us for a special release party featuring 3 of the 5 stouts we’ll be serving up for St Patrick’s Day (Faricy Fest, St. Pats and Blackheath). As always the release party is from 6-8. It is a casual meet and greet with Rene and Matt and the brew team along with mug club members from both Arbor and Corner. Beer samples and light appetizers included. $15 for the general public and free for mug club members.

Charlie Ahearn’s legendary film is credited as the first film about hip-hop music ever made. Featured artists include Grandmaster Flash, the Cold Crush Brothers, Busy Bee and Fab Five Freddy. Dialogue sampled by the Beastie Boys on Check Your Head and a Tribe Called Quest on Midnight Marauders.

ABC Brew Pub – Beer Tasting: Stouts – Mar 12, 2009 7:00 PM
The stout tasting was the first tasting we ever held back in 1997. And it is a dark beer lovers dream come true! We hand-pick 25-30 of our favorite stouts – irish stouts, milk stouts, chocolate stouts, coffee stouts, russian imperial stouts, and some Belgian and experimental stouts when we can get our hands on them. We pair them with an appetizer buffet, provide style and tasting notes, and top off the night with a door prize drawing. Tastings run 7-9 PM. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 if purchased on tasting day. Advance tickets recommended as tastings often sell out in advance. Call 734-213-1393 to order tickets over the phone.

ABC Brew Pub – Beer Tasting Class – World Beer Tour – Mar 21, 2009 2:00 PM
Join brewery owner Rene Greff for a fun and fast-paced look and taste of the classic beer styles from around the world. This 3 hour class will cover the history, geography and beer traditons of the entire planet! We’ll taste 10 classic beer styles, learn how they came to be, and identify major flavor components while learning basic evaluation techniques and vocabulary. Class will be held in the Tap Room at Arbor Brewing Company in Ann Arbor. This course is being offered through the Washtenaw Community College Lifelong Learning program. We’ll be drinking beer so you gotta be 21. Advance registration required.
