Land-Grant Brewing Annnounces Winterized Outdoor Beer Garden
(COLUMBUS, OH) — Land-Grant Brewing Company is excited to announce the roll out of its winterized outdoor beer garden, including 15 heated igloos and the upcoming launch of “Brewery Curling”, an adapted version of the popular ice sport using small kegs instead of curling stones.
“We always enjoy providing experiences for our customers by utilizing our space for fun activities, and we’re excited to extend the beer garden experiences into the winter months with the new addition of igloos and brewery curling,” said Land-Grant co-founder and President Adam Benner.
The 1,300 square-foot Brewery Curling ice rink, located outside Land-Grant Brewing Co. at 424 W. Town Street in Franklinton, will offer 5 lanes of play, which Land-Grant aims to open next week – weather permitting.
“As long as temperature stays in the low 50s during the day and the low 30s at night, we can make and maintain the ice,” Benner said of the refrigerated rink he built with the help of the staff.
Brewery curling lane reservations are $50 for 90 minutes of play, and include a heated igloo that seats up to eight people. Reservation access, rules and additional details can be found at landgrantbrewing.com/curling.
Land-Grant also added an additional nine heated igloos in its beer garden that are currently available to reserve in 2-hour blocks each day of the week. Weekday reservations (Monday-Thursday) are $10, and weekend reservations (Friday-Sunday) are $20. Reservations can be made at landgrantbrewing.com/igloos/.
In addition to the outdoor elements, Land-Grant has also included a series of weekday winter programming inside its taproom, including a euchre league, trivia night, workshop series and live music. Details about these offerings can be found at landgrantbrewing.com/winter.
MERRIMENT MARKET IN THE BEER GARDEN THIS WEEKEND
This weekend, Matchmaker’s Studio + Shop will be hosting a sprawling, two-day Merriment Market featuring more than 40 local vendors throughout Land-Grant’s beer garden from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, December 18 and 19. Just in time for the holidays, visitors can get in the spirit and shop for gifts from the marvelous makers, talented artists, and handmade wonders that will be on display throughout Land-Grant’s 9,000 square-foot beer garden. Food from Ray Ray’s Hog Pit BBQ and Belgica Confections will be available during both days of the event.
Sunday’s Merriment Market will also include family-friendly entertainment, featuring a holiday sing-along with Captain Captain of the kid’s rock n’ roll band The Shazzbots, from 12-1 p.m and holiday photo opportunities from 1-3 p.m.
