We plucked a few important news bits out of Knee Deep Brewing’s latest newsletter. Read on their upcoming events, their expansion progress as well as participation in industry competitions. Cheers!
Upcoming Events:
Knee Deep Brewing will be pouring beer this month at some really sweet venues. The first event is the 18th Annual Mammoth Festival of Beers & Bluesapalooza on August 1st thru 4th. We will be pouring Simtra and Citra this year and hope the altitude and Simtra get along. http://www.mammothbluesbrewsfest.com/
Later on in the month, Knee Deep will be flying down to San Diego County for the Stone 17th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival on August 17th. Do we even have to tell you about this party? http://www.stonebrew.com/anniv/
Our last event this month is in beautiful Chico, CA. We will be having our first ever Tap-Take –Over in Chico, CA at The Handle Bar. This will be a Pre-Draft release party (almost a total-tap-take-over) at Handle Bar in Chico, CA on August 24th 2013. This event will be an all day and night event with most beers being taped at 11:30 am. Simtra and Hop Shortage will be tapped at different times (2pm and 4pm). We will also be tapping a cask. Come hang out with our Brewmaster (Jeremy Warren) and the rest of the Knee Deep crew all day while sipping on our lovely hoppy brews.

Brewery Update:
We have received the approval from the City of Auburn to start the concrete cutting and electrical work. Currently we’re installing our new 14 ton CO2 system; our 1200 sq. ft. cooler and most importantly our long awaited Knee Deep Tap House.

U.S. Open Beer Championship
During the month of July 2013 in Atlanta, GA the 2013 United States Open Beer Championship took place. The U.S. Open Beer Championship had over 2500 entries from 68 breweries. Knee Deep Brewing took a gold medal (1st place) with the Belgo Hoptologist in the Specialty/Anything Goes category.

Amador County Fair Commercial Beer Competition
July was a good month for Knee Deep Brewing Company. Knee Deep took two 1st Place medals at the 2013 Amador County Fair Commercial Beer Competition and by the look of the other breweries that participated, it was sure a tough competition to place in.
1st Place – Imperial Tanilla – Strong Ale Category
1st Place – Belgo Hoptologist – Belgian Ale Category
