J. Wakefield Chains Release This Thursday
(Miami, FL) — On Thursday, August 30th, at 1:00 p.m, J. Wakefield Brewing will be releasing Chains, its popular northeast-style India pale ale, just in time to celebrate the upcoming college football season. Chains was first released last December to much acclaim, when former national champions D.J. Williams and Brett Romberg collaborated with Johnathan Wakefield and his brew team, to create the beer. It dropped at the height of the college football frenzy that engulfed Miami last season.
“I’ve been a college football fan for as long as I can remember,” said Johnathan Wakefield, JWB founder and brewmaster, “My grandfather raised me that way. I get really excited this time of year for the upcoming season. Last year’s collaboration with D.J. (Williams) and Brett (Romberg) went really well, so we decided to do it again.”
Chains (6.5% ABV), which is brewed with a trio of hops, Amarillo, Citra, and Galaxy, will be available at the JWB taproom on draught and in four packs of 16oz cans for $20, starting on August 30th. It will also be available at Hard Rock Stadium, in the tap rooms located midfield on the 100 level.
The label art again depicts the Cuban-style gold link chain, now of local sports lore.
The release party from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. will feature food, live music and Buzz Ball Table hosting the best finger football table game to hit the market. D.J. William’s streetwear brand Dyme Lyfe and Brett Romberg’s Out The Huddle (OTH) a multimedia sports content platform, are co-sponsors of the release party.
Chains is not affiliated with any educational institution and is not being marketed to college students.
