Ipswich Ale 20th Anniversary Imperial Pale Ale
This month kicks off 20 years in the brewing industry for us! In celebration of all that we’ve accomplished we’ve brewed up an Anniversary Ale!
This Limited-Edition brew is a big balanced Imperial Pale Ale with rich malty sweetness and a bold hop character. This hand-crafted ale honors our past, present, and future as an Ipswich, MA historic hometown favorite.
At 8% ABV you can find it in 22oz. bottles and on draft at select locations.

Ipswich Ale Recipe of the Month
Ipswich Oatmeal Stout Sweet Heat Chili
Ingredients:
-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
-1 large sweet onion, chopped
-4 cloves garlic, minced
-3-4 jalapenos, chopped
-2 lbs ground beef
-1 (28 oz ) can of diced tomatoes
-1 (12 oz) bottle Ipswich Oatmeal Stout
-1 cup coffee
-1 (14oz) can beef broth
-2 (6oz) cans tomato paste
-2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced or 1 teaspoon of chipotle chili powder
-1/3 cup packed brown sugar
-2 tablespoons regular chili powder
-2 tablespoons ancho chili powder
-1 tablespoon cumin
-1 teaspoon coriander
-½ oz unsweetened chocolate or 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
-1 teaspoon oregano
-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
-1 teaspoon salt
-2 (15 oz) cans red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
-2 (15 oz) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
Directions
1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Cook onion, garlic, jalapeno, ground beef 10 minutes, or until the meat is well browned then drain off liquid.
2. Add remaining ingredients, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
