Great Lakes Brewing 2018 Release Calendar Unveiled

(Cleveland, OH) – Great Lakes Brewing Company (GLBC) announces a fresh lineup for its 30th year including the return of Holy Moses White Ale, two new seasonals, can 6-Packs, and reimagined favorites.

HOLY MOSES WHITE ALE PLANTS ITS FLAG YEAR-ROUND 
Holy Moses White Ale, named in honor of Cleveland founder Moses Cleaveland, has long been a fan favorite with its signature blend of coriander, chamomile, and orange peel. This year it makes a triumphant return to 6-Packs, 12-Packs, and Draft year-round in all of GLBC’s distribution markets. Holy Moses White Ale’s new packaging sports reimagined label artwork by artist Darren Booth.

BURNING RIVER PALE ALE NOW ILLUMINATED BY LOCAL HOPS & MALT

Burning River Pale Ale was inspired by the Cuyahoga River Fire of 1969, which sparked a renewed interest in protecting our natural resources. Now the classic Pale Ale boasts even more local ties, incorporating regionally grown hops, and malt from Cleveland’s Haus Malts. Along with a refreshed recipe featuring regionally sourced ingredients, Burning River Pale Ale’s updated packaging is now highlighted with bright orange accents.

6-PACK 12 OZ. CANS AVAILABLE YEAR-ROUND, NEW SEASONAL MOONDOG ALE
In 2017 GLBC debuted cans in 12-Packs, including Turntable Pils and Lightkeeper Blonde Ale. In 2018 both beers return year-round in 6-Pack 12 oz. cans. Rally Drum Red Ale also returns in 12-Pack 16 oz. cans for a limited time starting in April. Moondog Ale, a smooth ale with an undomesticated hop bite—and a GLBC pub favorite—hits 12-Pack 16 oz. cans in fall, 2018.

GREAT LAKES VARIETY PACK NOW FEATURING COMMODORE PERRY IPA
GLBC’s popular Variety 12-Pack features an updated lineup. Dortmunder Gold Lager, Eliot Ness Amber Lager, and Edmund Fitzgerald Porter return, with Commodore Perry IPA replacing Burning River Pale Ale.

MARCH: CLOUD CUTTER ALE
Inspired by the historic Cleveland Air Races, Cloud Cutter Ale zips into GLBC’s diverse seasonal portfolio. Citrusy hop flavors and aromas barrel roll through a cloud cover of pillowy wheat and crisp malt in this refreshing, easy-drinking new ale. Available in 6-Packs, 12-Packs, and Draft. ABV: 5.1% | IBU: 40

MAY: HOLY MOSES RASPBERRY WHITE ALE
Complementing the year-round return of fan favorite Holy Moses White Ale comes a seasonal raspberry-infused spin on the original. In the spirit of Moses Cleaveland’s thirst for discovery, the classic Holy Moses White Ale meets fresh, juicy raspberries to forge a pint worth planting a flag in (or an orange slice!). Available in 6-Packs, 12-Packs, and Draft. ABV: 6.2% | IBU: 20
