Golden Road Brewing Debuts Burning Bush IPA Cans
Los Angeles, CA (October 2012) – Just in time for their one-year anniversary, Golden Road Brewing releases the second beer in their Custom IPA series; Burning Bush, a smoked Rausch IPA. Burning Bush uses the smoked malt typically used in a German-style Rauch beer, and combines it with the hops of a west coast IPA. The beer was first released on tap at Golden Road’s opening party in October 2011, and was an instant favorite with the crowds – the initial batch was gone within days.
A year later, Golden Road is pleased to present the new cans, which feature a striking image of the Griffith Park wildfires of 2007. Says Golden Road Co-Founder Tony Yanow, “The Griffith Park Wildfires came extremely close to my home in 2007, so the image of the flames against the park and skyline is a very powerful one for me.” Speaking to the flavor of the beer, he adds, “Burning Bush is a remarkably smooth smoked beer, and the first Rausch IPA we know of.”
Burning Bush joins Golden Road’s two flagship canned beers, Point the Way IPA and Golden Road Hefeweizen on the shelf, and is available for sale at the Pub at Golden Road Brewing, and in limited release throughout the greater Los Angeles area. With an 8% ABV, and about 70 IBUs (international bitterness units), Burning Bush is a deep, copper colored ale, which features a light smoky aroma that sits atop a generous floral and piney hopping. Burning Bush will be available in Golden Road’s signature tall-boy 16oz cans, and will retail in packs of four.
Golden Road Brewing was founded in October 2011 by Tony Yanow and Meg Gill, who are committed to bringing fresh beer to market in the most sustainable way possible. Golden Road Brewing is the maker of Los Angeles’ only canned craft beer, packaged in 16oz cans to deliver an honest pint of the brewery’s flagship Point the Way IPA and Golden Road Hefeweizen. Golden Road currently produces fourteen beers which include two Custom IPAs and 10 limited releases.
