Foothills Sexual Chocolate Returns Next Month
Strong, bold, and undeniably sexy, the one and only Sexual Chocolate Imperial Stout is coming back the first weekend in February.
By far our most famous offering, this Valentine’s Day seasonal only comes out once a year. Infused with organic cocoa nibs and running 9.5% ABV, this Russian imperial stout is a deep opaque black in color, offering notes of espresso, blackstrap molasses, toffee, and dark fruits. The Sexual Chocolate and its barrel-aged cousin have received medals at both the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup, and have been featured in magazines ranging from DRAFT and All About Beer to Maxim and even (so we heard) Hustler.
The bottles are 22 oz. and $15 each, and will go on sale at 10am on February 2. As with past bottle releases, we do recommend being very early to wait in line– there is a limit of four bottles per person, but supplies are still limited, and we cannot guarantee or reserve bottles for anyone. If you need a better idea what to expect, here’s some footage from the 2012 release that aired on WXII and CNN last February.

The body content is accurate since it is directly from the Foothills newsletter, but the title of this post is a bit of a misnomer…the beer will not be on shelves as it is a brewery only release (some kegs will make it to on-premise accounts elsewhere in the brewery’s distribution area, but not bottles).
