Flying Dog Announces More 2012 Brewhouse Rarities
Flying Dog Brewery of Frederick, MD announced a few weeks ago that they would be treating their loyal locals with “Brewhouse Rarities” in month intervals. Here are few more pieces of information regarding this new program. Cheers!
In an otherwise pitch black brewery, a single stream of light spills out from beneath the brewhouse doors. Carrying with it is inspiration that can only be found during the sunless solitude of a graveyard brewing shift.
The brainchildren of our individual brewers, our Brewhouse Rarities series of limited-edition brews shatter the confines of traditional beer styles and, in the words of the Good Doctor Hunter S. Thompson, are “too weird to live, too rare to die.”
The series will feature 10 new beers in 2012, with the first – an Imperial Hefeweizen – coming out in January. Other planned styles include:
- Black Lager with Cherries
- Abby Dubbel
- Sour Cherry
- Red Ale
- Gose
- Nut Brown
- Weizenbock
- Gruit
- Belgian Strong
Our Brewhouse Rarities will be available on draft only in Maryland, Virginia, and DC. The Imperial Hefeweizen will premiere on Thursday, January 5 at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore, MD.
