Firestone Walker – Pivo Pils Coming Soon?
Firestone Walker has been pilotting a classic style Pilsner for roughly two years (maybe more?) called Firestone Pivo Pils. At the same time we heard of the pending release of Wooky Jack, we heard about this pilsner. Years ago, in the dark ages of no Union Jack, Double Jack, etc, was Firestone Walker Lager. It sat sadly, gathering dust on the shelf next to Double Barrel Ale (Now DBA) and Firestone Pale Ale (Now Pale 31) and was subsequently pulled from the line. The prospect of a crisp local craft pilsner is exciting, and I think this will do far better than our fallen friend Firestone Lager , due to many factors on both the brewery’s end as well as the craft consumer’s end.
We’ve been trying to anticipate when this beer would be ready for prime time, and while we still don’t have a time frame, Brewmaster Matt Brynildson was tweeting for joy this morning. Stay tuned for more info on this beer.

Hi guys! I’m sure you’ve already tried it by now, but we just put it on tap at the Lumberyard Tavern. It’s delicious, as expected! Clean, crisp, perfect balance of malt & hop. Hallelujah to the pilsner.
