Fallout from Kern River Citra DIPA Lottery

A few weeks ago, we shared the news of Kern River Brewing using a lottery system for rights to purchase Kern River Citra DIPA bottles at their brewery.  Here’s a follow up note from KRBC on their first crack at this system.

“In case you were curious, the Citra Lottery has been held and winners (and non-winners) were notified via e-mail earlier today.  In case you were wondering, there were about 1000 entries and 320 winners, making the odds about 1 in 3.  If you did not get a bottle, we will have Citra on draft (no growlers) starting Friday, October 25th.  While we can’t know how long it will last, you might want to get here that weekend if you are itching to try a pint.  Who knows though, maybe it will last longer.”
