Epic Brewing Wins Big in Los Angeles
Salt Lake City, UT – Epic Brewing Company won four medals in the Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition, which was held on June 23rd as part of the LA County Fair. Epic garnered one gold, two silvers and a bronze in one of the country’s toughest contests.
Epic’s Wit Beer won a gold medal in the Belgian Wit Beer Category. Silver medals went to Smoked & Oaked in the Experimental Beer category and Epic’s summer seasonal, Hop Syndrome Lager, in the session beer category. Intermountain Wheat won a bronze for American Wheat Beer and Pfeifferhorn Lager picked up an Honorable Mention for Premium American Lager.
Epic Brewing Company co-founder Dave Cole responded to the awards, saying, “It means a lot to me that Epic Brewing is getting recognition from both consumers and judges in my home town, LA!”
This is the second gold medal for Epic’s Wit Beer, third medal for Intermountain Wheat and first for Smoked & Oaked and Hop Syndrome Lager.
2012 has already been Epic’s best year in terms of recognition, picking up 14 awards in various contests all over the world. This brings Epic’s total award count up to 30 medals since the brewery started up in 2010.
