Decadence 2008 English-Style Barleywine
San Diego, Ca – Each year the brewers at AleSmith brew up a new beer to commemorate our Anniversary. This year’s release, Decadence 2008, is an English-Style Barleywine. Full-bodied and overflowing with flavors of caramel and toffee, this English ale was made with the finest floor-malted barley, English hops and top-cropping English yeast to create a truly “old world” experience. Topping off at 11% abv, this Barleywine is a richly complex sipper and was made to excel with age.
Decadence 2008 will be sold at our tasting bar starting Thursday, June 18th and should be available at Southern California’s finest craft beer establishments the week after. We hope you’ll pick up a bottle or two to celebrate another year of fine AleSmith beers!

AleSmith will be participating in the next Cooks Confab event at Nine-Ten Restaurant in La Jolla, CA. What is a Confab, you ask? From the Cooks Confab website:
[con·fab (kon’fab), -n. 1. a conference or exchange of views or ideas or information on a familiar topic. -v. 2. to converse informally; chat.]
Every few months, this group of San Diego chefs assemble and create dishes around a central ingredient or theme to “bring good people and great food together.” This event’s theme… Meat! Peter and Jessica will be there to present a few of our most food-friendly brews to the foodie crowd.
