Craft Beer News Roundup: Stone, LA Beer Week, Southampton and Millstream
Yes, we bring you some craft beer news, all rounded up for your reading ease. In this edition of Craft Beer News Roundup, we talk about Stone Brewing, LA Beer Week, Southampton and Millstream Brewing. Cheers!
Stone Brewing – In regards to the remodeling of Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens – “We’re hoping to have the construction done by late April, launching with a new menu that will better reflect our commitment to local, organic, seasonal produce. The menu will change frequently, though we will be keeping several of our most popular dishes available throughout the year.” Click here to view the updated drawings.
LA Beer Week – LA Beer Week will be returning this year, and will be 11 days rather than 14 (great!). It will run September 20-30 and will end with the Union Station Festival on the 30th.
Southampton – Southampton Publick House has announced the release of its latest specialty ale, Burton IPA. Southampton Burton IPA is a tribute to the original English style IPA’s (India Pale Ales) with an original gravity of 15% and an alcohol by volume of 6.5%. Burton IPA, along with Double White Ale, will be available year round at beverage retailers, bars and restaurants.
Millstream Brewing – Look for the Cabin Fever Doppelbock at the brewery and in stores now! We just bottled it Tuesday so it is at its freshest! This Doppelbock is a thick, smooth and stronger lager brewed in the traditional doppelbock style. Plenty of Munich malts and darker caramel malts give it a rich and full-bodied flavor. It is a typical stronger beer and contains enough malty goodness that it has been considered for centuries as a meal in a glass.
