We are back with a wet hopped edition of Craft Beer News Roundup.
In this edition, find out what’s new with Firestone Walker, Ipswich Ale Brewery, Victory Brewing and Beachwood BBQ and Brewing. Cheers!
Firestone Walker
From their latest newsletter: ” Black Xantus has taken flight. This year’s batch is extremely limited so find it fast before its all gone. Be sure to use the Firestone finder to check for all locations. Limited bottle and draft.”
We have gotten word that Firestone Walker is working on a Black Rye IPA, A Pilsner and a Session IPA. While this project is in a later phase, nothing has been set in stone, and no product names are known as of press.
Ipswich Brewery
The Ipswich Ale Brewery is proud to present the first in a new line of limited-edition, single batch beers available in stores later this month! We created 5 Mile with the sole purpose of crafting exceptional beers using local ingredients. 5 Mile’s mission is to use at least 50% MA ingredients while always having at least one ingredient from within 5 Miles of Ipswich. We believe there is nothing better than supporting local agriculture to make a product that is unique to Massachusetts and the North Shore.Look for the first of our 5 Mile beers, the 5 Mile Stock Ale. Dry-hopped with Cascade hops from our very own Ipswich hop yard, made with barley grown and malted at our Massachusetts BSA (Brewers Supported Agriculture). 5 Mile is a big, malty, stock ale brewed to be enjoyed by Locavores and Omnivores alike. Victory Brewing
From Victory’s Latest Newsletter – “On Wednesday, Nov. 23, we will be releasing Dark Intrigue. The beer, created by aging Storm King Stout in bourbon barrels, sold out at our retail shop in just 43 minutes last year. We made more this year, but expect fans to start lining up well before our retail shop opens at 11:30 a.m. Check our blog for more updates on the festivities.”
Beachwood BBQ and Brewing
Known for his love of the IPA, Brewmaster Julian has come up with another hoppy delight. Hop Ninja is Beachwood’s newest West Coast double IPA. Hop flavors slice their way through a base of American 2-row malt kissed by caramel malt. Quadruple dry hopping with Simcoe, Amarillo, and Columbus creates an aroma that skillfully takes your olfactory senses hostage. A dry finish masks the sneak attack of 8.9% ABV 99+ IBUs. Available on Draft only.
