Angel City Brewing – Angel City Brewing formerly of Torrance,CA is set to have their Grand Reopening in Downtown LA. Here is a word from owner Michael: “Angel City Brewing is having a Grand Opening on St. Paddy’s Day, and weekend March 17,18, and “Celticfest” Saturday March 19. Proceeds to benefit Friends of the Los Angeles River. This will also be our 14th Anniversary of Angel City Brewing .In our new location we will have on-site tasting and will expand our offerings to include Angel City Whitey (Wit), Scorpion Sour, and various barrel aged offerings.” Check back often here at TFP for the dates, times and addresses.
Snake River Brewing – Snake River is gearing up for the North American Brewers Association’s Mountain Brewers Festival. It will be the first Saturday of June in Idaho Falls. They will be entering in a host of “small-batch” beers from their newly acquired 10 bbl uni-tank. Entrants included but not limited: Le Serpant (Flanders Style Sour), Tripel Black Diamond (Belgian Tripel) and Breakneck Barleywine.
For those following the craft can movement, you can add Snake River to the growing list. According to Tim Harland: “Snake River Brewing has put earnest money down on a canning line.
The first beer to enter cans will be a beer that was only available in draught/kegs which is our white-hot selling Pako’s EyePA (Pako was our brewery mascot…a Siberian husky who had 1 blue eye and one brown eye, thus the “Eye”PA).”
Erie Brewing – Erie plans on adding a bourbon barrel aged beer series to their portfolio. As of press, they have Ol Red Scotch Ale aging in Buffalo Trace barrels. One of their flagship beers, Railbender Ale plan on taking a rest in the barrels as well.
As for expansion, they have doubled their capacity with the addition of 6 80 bbl fermenters to go along with their newly installed 25 ton bulk grain bin. They should be in production by the end of February. With their growth, they have started shipping to MA and RI via L.Knife and Sons Distributors. They are planning to ship to Chicago, Georgia, New Hampshire and North Carolina, although no set time table is available.

Bootlegger’s Brewery – Award Winning Knuckle Sandwich DIPA is set to be brewed in a larger batch in two weeks. According to Bootlegger’s they will be dedicating 2 30 bbl fermenters to this next batch, to hopefully meet demand.
