Council Brewing – Deadlock Dark Sour, Nicene & Imperial Beatitude w/ Peaches & Nectarines Release Details
(San Diego,CA) – Council Brewing of San Diego just announced three new beers that will be available via Brown Paper Ticket Sales. Read on for bottle limits and other rules of the sale. Cheers!
Deadlock Dark Sour is a series of barrel aged American dark sour ales that are fermented with a mixed culture of Brettanomyces, and Lactobacillus and then aged on berry fruits. For the Summer 2015 release, we chose to age this beer on boysenberries. Deadlock has rich notes of chocolate covered boysenberries and deep, barrel complexity. The Lacto and Brett provide supporting tartness and earthy, wild grown fruit notes. This beer is bottle conditioned to help the flavors evolve over the seasons.
Pre-Sale Tickets: September 10th, 2015 at 12 noon via brownpapertickets.com. We will post the link to social media (twitter and facebook), once the sale is live. The cost of each 750 ml bottle is $18 plus tax. Only 450 bottles will be released, resulting in a limit of (2) bottles per person; No proxies.
Release Party: Starting on September 17th, 2015 at 2 pm guests can pick up their pre-purchased bottles of Deadlock Dark Sour with Boysenberries in the Council Brewing Tasting Room. The last day to pick up your Deadlock bottles is October 17th, 2015 during tasting room hours. Any bottles not picked up after that date will be forfeited to Council Brewing Company.
Nicene September 2015 Release
Nicene (Batch #2) was brewed with traditional Saison ingredients to provide a rustic, bready malt backbone and paired with the tropical fruit forward wine and French oak notes achieved from the white wine barrels. Over time, Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus will continue to develop the gentle sourness and earthy flavors. This sour Saison was manually packaged with tremendous care and bottle conditioned with high carbonation for optimal enjoyment in a tulip glass.

Imperial Beatitude w/ Peaches & Nectarines
Pre-Sale Tickets: September 14th, 2015 at 12 noon via brownpapertickets.com. The cost of each 750 ml bottle is $20 plus tax, limit of (4) bottles per person. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Beer to the Rescue, a charity campaign dedicated to helping raise awareness and funds to support The Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Release Party: September 22nd, 2015 at 2 pm in the Council Tasting Room located at 7705 Convoy Ct, San Diego, CA 92111. Join the Council Team and Brandon Hernandez, San Diego Craft Beer Journalist and Founder of Beer to the Rescue, to celebrate this special release beer.
