Clown Shoes Beer, of Ipswich, MA, has been steadily expanding their market and recently announced new areas of distribution, stating on their blog, “beer has started shipping to Connecticut, Minnesota, and Alabama. Most recently we entered Wisconsin.” They also expect to begin shipping to California and Colorado within the next few months as they work out logistics.
In addition, they announced new offerings as well as updates made to older beers. Their Pecan Pie Porter was revamped, and is now crafted with fresh roasted and ground pecans from The Gallows and Q’s Nuts and will now go buy the name “Genghis Pecan Pie Porter”. Clown Shoes will also be releasing a special 100% bourbon barrel aged version of their Russian Imperial Stout, Blaecorn Unidragon, entitled Porcine Unidragon. Beechwood smoked malt adds a subtle bacon flavor to this beer (they were barred from calling the beer Bacon Unidragon, however). New beers abound with a barrel aged and spiced-up version of their Chocolate Sombrero entitled Luchador En Fuego up for release in December as well as a rose saison called Date Night scheduled for release for Valentine’s Day. Keep watch as this exciting brewery continues to grow.
